Sales Administrator

Do you spend your spare time with motorbikes? Are you a good competent administrator with some sales know-how?

Herald Motor Company is a growing cult motorcycle brand as we sell our retro-styled, affordable range of bikes to the UK, Europe and the rest of the World and now we need an extra pair of hands in the office. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sales Administrator for our Huntingdon workshop in Cambridgeshire.

You will be providing proactive and comprehensive administrative support to the small sales team as well as supporting the marketing activities for the brand ensuring a professional quality service is delivered to customers and suppliers at all times.

You will be expected to help promote the Herald brand so a passion for bikes is essential. A background in Sales is also desirable. Check out the website for all the bikes and merchandising we sell.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for the team to ensure all records and systems are consistently up to date. This includes: booking bikes into stock and ensuring demo bikes and V5s are easily located.
  • Be confident in raising auditable paperwork, including DVLA registrations, invoices, delivery notes and works orders.
  • Support the sales team in managing relationships with dealers, providing prompt responses to enquiries etc.
  • Support the Business Operations Manager to oversee bike stock by completing a perpetual inventory (PI Count).
  • Support other sections in the team such as parts sales, accessories etc. using the relevant systems to ensure tasks are completed accurately as and when required.
  • Assist in the organisation of motorcycles exhibitions: this will include liaising with the marketing and external stakeholders. You may be required to attend exhibitions to support and market the brand.
  • Adhere to administrative procedures using the appropriate IT systems and records.
  • You may be required to train other colleagues as and when requested.
  • Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.

Apprentice Technician / Parts Support

Our Herald brand is looking for an enthusiastic person to work in our motorcycle workshop and parts department.

You will be working with the workshop team to build and finish bikes ready for sale. You will also assist our parts department to supply our dealers and customers with Motorcycle parts. You will attend shows and events to represent the brand.

Your tasks will include:
• De-crating and assembling bikes following build processes.
• Provide high quality customer service to phone/email/face to face enquiries.
• Assist the parts team as required.
• Effectively use the procedures and systems in place to carry out tasks including the computer based systems.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with other areas of the business and with external contacts.

Motorcycle Technician

Herald Motor Company are now recruiting for a new Motorcycle Technician.

As we continue to expand our range and build the Herald brand we are now looking for another Motorcycle Technician to join our workshop team. You will be involved in building motorcycles as well as undertaking any maintenance or repairs as required. You will also help trainees or apprentices.

As required, you will support the sales processes of bikes and spare parts including deliveries to dealers as well as learn bike build processes to support the operations of the Workshop.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • De-crating and assembling bikes following build processes.
  • Provide high quality customer service by phone/email/face to face enquiries.
  • Deliver bikes to dealers in coordination with the Sales Team to ensure the efficient operation of sales.
  • Support Spare Parts operations as required using the procedures and systems as advised – i.e. picking items for despatch and recording sales appropriately.
  • Ensure a professional, quality service (external and internal) is provided at all times throughout the various stages of sales and aftersales.
  • Take part in project work and bike development proposals with practical and commercially feasible options, planning and delivery as required.
  • Represent the Company at trade shows or exhibitions and other relevant bodies to promote Herald Motor Company proactively.
  • Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.

You will be a qualified motorbike Technician with experience of working in the motorbike industry. You will be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to establish good relationships with colleagues and customers. You will also have a passion for the motorbike industry and be flexible in terms of working hours and be able to travel to dealers and exhibitions as required.

Marketing Executive

Herald Motor Co. has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our growing team.

As you will promote our gorgeous motorcycles, it is essential that you have a genuine passion for motorbikes so you can better connect with our audience.

You will be required to design marketing campaigns, define effective social media strategies and organise events. It is essential that you are a self-starter, with the ability to work on your own initiative and to develop relationships with key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

Campaign Planning

  • Support in the development of customer facing propositions, initiatives and incentives to drive acquisition and customer retention.
  • Perform competitor analysis, market research and build customer profiles whilst highlighting risks and concerns.

Campaign creation

  • Responsible for building strategic offline (e.g. events) and online campaigns to fulfil predetermined KPIs.
  • Responsible for briefing internal and external creative agencies for artwork creation and managing amends from stakeholders whilst working to strict deadlines.
  • Responsible for ensuring all creative work is developed to a creative brief which is aligned behind the commercial objectives and company strategy.

Events Management

  • In collaboration with Herald Motor Co., produce detailed proposals for events (for example: timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).
  • Research venues, suppliers and contractors, and then negotiate prices and hire.
  • Design a marketing strategy to promote the event.
  • Organise facilities for car parking and hospitality.
  • Produce post-event evaluation to improve on future events.
  • Research opportunities for new clients and events.

Social Media strategy

  • Responsible for the management of social media channels for Herald Motor Company such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Responsible for the design of a sustainable and effective social media strategy, including content planning.
  • With a good knowledge of marketing strategies, you will be able to confidently develop enticing marketing campaigns to grow our motorcycle brand. You will also possess the relevant experience to boost our social media presence and engage effectively with our target market.
