Sales Executive

Herald Motor Company is looking for a Sales Executive to increase our portfolio of motorbike dealerships in the UK. The role is based in our office in Huntingdon and you will be assigned a region to cover. An accomplished Sales Executive, you will manage your own sales appointments and visits. As this role is focused on our bikes, needless to say, you have to demonstrate a genuine passion for motorcycles (ideally you will be a keen biker!).

As we are now building original British motorcycles designed by our engineering team and fabricated in the UK, it is essential you have a good grasp of the motorcycle market, industry trends and competitor analysis.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure sales targets and budgets are achieved through strong and proactive sales
  • Provide comprehensive service to dealers, from contact, order processing, delivery, feedback and, where necessary, satisfactory conclusion of customer complaints
  • Proactively seek and secure new business
  • Support the agreed business plan activities for Herald Motor Co, taking into account a thorough understanding of the business, customers, competitors and markets
  • Support the identification and development of new products ideas/areas and bring successfully to market
  • Provide a professional, quality support service to customers (external and internal) at all times throughout the various stages of the sales process
  • Maintain strong customer and market intelligence regarding business strategies, trends, potential products, development projects, etc. to ensure these can be taken into account for sales and marketing approaches and liaise with the marketing team to implement strong marketing activities.

Sales Support

Herald Motor Company is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Support person to join our team. You will be a confident individual, able to provide excellent administrative support to our sales team.

If you have an interest in motorbikes, then you will be in your element! Your day will be full of varied activities including:

  • Ensure all records and systems are consistently up to date
  • In the absence of the Business Operations Manager, ensure the office maintains the required standards of professional behaviour and address on his behalf or report to HR any issues that may arise
  • Be confident in raising paperwork for audits, including DVLA registrations, invoices, delivery notes and works orders
  • Support the sales team in managing relationships with dealers, providing prompt responses to enquiries etc.
  • Support the Business Operations Manager to oversee bike stock by completing a perpetual inventory (PI Count)
  • Support high levels of customer care to all enquiries to the team with prompt responses at all times
  • Support other sections in the team such as parts sales, accessories etc. using the relevant systems to ensure tasks are completed accurately as and when required
  • Assist in the organisation of motorcycle exhibitions: this will include liaising with marketing and external stakeholders. You may be required to attend exhibitions to support and market the brand. This is a role that needs a highly organised person. You will be a self-starter and able to manage a varied workload.

Marketing Executive

Herald Motor Co. has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our growing team.

As you will promote our gorgeous motorcycles, it is essential that you have a genuine passion for motorbikes so you can better connect with our audience.

You will be required to design marketing campaigns, define effective social media strategies and organise events. It is essential that you are a self-starter, with the ability to work on your own initiative and to develop relationships with key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

Campaign Planning

  • Support in the development of customer facing propositions, initiatives and incentives to drive acquisition and customer retention.
  • Perform competitor analysis, market research and build customer profiles whilst highlighting risks and concerns.

Campaign creation

  • Responsible for building strategic offline (e.g. events) and online campaigns to fulfil predetermined KPIs.
  • Responsible for briefing internal and external creative agencies for artwork creation and managing amends from stakeholders whilst working to strict deadlines.
  • Responsible for ensuring all creative work is developed to a creative brief which is aligned behind the commercial objectives and company strategy.

Events Management

  • In collaboration with Herald Motor Co., produce detailed proposals for events (for example: timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).
  • Research venues, suppliers and contractors, and then negotiate prices and hire.
  • Design a marketing strategy to promote the event.
  • Organise facilities for car parking and hospitality.
  • Produce post-event evaluation to improve on future events.
  • Research opportunities for new clients and events.

Social Media strategy

  • Responsible for the management of social media channels for Herald Motor Company such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Responsible for the design of a sustainable and effective social media strategy, including content planning.
  • With a good knowledge of marketing strategies, you will be able to confidently develop enticing marketing campaigns to grow our motorcycle brand. You will also possess the relevant experience to boost our social media presence and engage effectively with our target market.

Motorcycle Design Engineer

Herald Motor Company has a rare opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer to focus on the development of our British-built original bikes.

As a Motorcycle Design Engineer, you will be passionate about motorcycles and be highly competent in CAD, preferably Solidworks, be a creative problem solver and enthusiastic about motorcycles. The role will focus on:

  • Design and development of motorcycle chassis, suspension and braking systems, bodywork and other key components
  • Design of test rigs and production fixtures
  • Deliver appropriate engineering solutions to support development work

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work ‘hands on’ in a prototype building environment
  • Create CAD and technical drawings to support the projects.
  • Critically assess and review prototype builds.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects from concept, design, through to handover to production.
  • The preparation of technical documents/reports/presentations.
  • Proactively resolve issues and problems as they arise to ensure effective and timely solutions.
  • Identify and source technical information and data to support product development e.g. Regulations and Standards
